The Location was great
The Hotel Stuff, besides some exceptions, are not so prepared to deal with costumer. They tend to show ad act in the direction of a high standards but they are so far a way from the north European and American standards. I was invited to leave my table at breakfast because they were running out of tables, do you think this is a 4 stars service?

Perfect location, close to the lively Sasso Barisano entrance and just a short walk from the centre. Our room was super cool and had a great vibe, fitting for our squad. The staff was chill and gave us awesome tips to explore the local party scene. We partied hard and made epic memories!
Wish there was an onsite bar or lounge area where we could hang out and pregame before hitting the town. It would have been way more convenient and fun for us young party-goers.

I absolutely adored the elegant and incredibly evocative space at the hotel. The interior decoration was exquisite, with plays of light that beautifully highlighted the ancient niches and stone arches. It created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for senior people like myself. The general areas of the hotel were also easily accessible, with wide hallways and well-placed handrails, making it easy for me to navigate without any trouble. It truly felt like a home away from home.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to provide a bit more assistance when needed. Sometimes, I needed a helping hand with my bags or directions around the town, and it would have been nice to have a bit more support from the staff.

Simon the porter was incredibly sweet and helpful, making our stay extra special. The suite we were provided with was simply amazing, with jaw-dropping views from the loo. The restaurant for breakfasts was unbelievably smart, like something out of a high fashion catalog. The sculptures throughout the hotel were beautiful, adding a touch of elegance. The staff were all friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The location in the historic area was perfect, within walking distance of all the main attractions and surrounded by nice bars and cafes. The rooms themselves were gorgeous - spacious, well-furnished, and located in the heart of the historic area. The staff were also able to organize outstanding guided tours which we highly recommend. We were even given an unexpected and much-appreciated upgrade to a luxurious 5-star resort, which was an incredible surprise. The small terrace we had on the street was a lovely touch, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The room decoration was also very pleasing, adding to the overall experience. This was truly a mind-blowing stay with countless pros!

The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and had a wonderful charm. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was huge. We loved the combination of modern elements with the original cave walls in the room, creating a unique atmosphere. The location of the hotel in the oldest and most beautiful part of the city was perfect. We also enjoyed spending time on the beautiful patio outside, which attracted many people to take pictures. The staff, especially Michele, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast served by Michele and his team was exceptional and added a special touch to our mornings. I highly recommend La Casa Di Lucio for a memorable stay.

I had the pleasure of exploring Matera's mesmerizing UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its unique architecture and charming alleys. The local gastronomy was a delightful surprise, and the visit to a local wine cellar was a treat.
Who knew Matera had so many stairs and uneven surfaces? Fitness enthusiasts, rejoice!
